To Make Your First Appointment
To make your first appointment all we need is a little information about you. We see patients with and without insurance. We are always accepting new patients. Our office accepts several insurance plans, and offers convenient payment options if you need them. Our office manager, Nancy will gladly check on your insurance for you. She will need the name and phone number of your insurance, a group number and/or member ID and a phone number to reach you. Nancy will make sure you are covered at our office. Check for your deductible and maximum. Estimate your portion of your first visit. Nancy bills your insurance for every visit the day of your visit. We will then find an appointment time convenient for you. Our office offers flexible hours and early morning appointments to accommodate our patients. So give us a call, or click on the insurance link and leave your information there. You will hear from us as soon as we verify your information, usually within 48 hours.
First Visit for Routine Cleaning
On your first visit to our office for a routine cleaning you will be greeted by our experienced, friendly staff. Your appointment will proceed in a timely manor. We respect your time and strive to remain on schedule. We have one registered dental hygienist on staff to scale and clean your teeth. We also have three well-trained, certified dental assistants to aid with x-rays and polishing. Dr. Smith will meet with you to perform your oral examination, go over your health history and discuss any dental concerns you may have. If the examination reveals any problems, he will explain his diagnoses and discuss all treatment options. If treatment is required Dr. Smith will allow you to decide what treatment you would prefer. Our friendly staff will set you up with an appointment. If Dr. Smith finds you are in good oral health we will send you a reminder card six months later to let you know it is time to make your next cleaning appointment.
Emergencies and Pain Relief
At our office we offer superior dental treatment. We provide same day appointments for emergencies and pain relief. We first take an x-ray to help Dr. Smith identify your specific problem. Dr. Smith will go over with you all possible treatment options. Then you get to decide what you option you think would be best suited for you. On a case-by-case basis Dr. Smith may need to prescribe antibiotics before any procedures can be performed. Finally, our friendly office staff can make you an appointment for treatment and go over with you the cost of procedures and payment plan options if you qualify. Dr. Smith is very understanding of patients who are terrified of dentists and those who have had prior bad experiences. So give us a call and let us cater to your individual and specific needs.
